1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Muslimin International Halal Group SA. de CV., domiciled in Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico, doing business as «Cancun Islamic Weddings».

2. Personal data we collect

We collect only the data necessary to plan your wedding and respond to your inquiries:

  • Identification: full name, partner's name, photograph if voluntarily shared.
  • Contact: email, phone / WhatsApp, city and country of residence.
  • Event data: tentative date, guest count, venue preferences, estimated budget, halal and faith requirements.
  • Guest data (where applicable): names, contact and dietary or travel needs you share with us.
  • Billing: legal name, tax ID, fiscal address.
  • Browsing: IP address, browser type, pages visited, collected in aggregate for analytics.

We do not request or store sensitive personal data (specific religious affiliation, health, orientation, etc.) unless you voluntarily share it to coordinate your wedding (for example, dietary or mobility restrictions of guests).

3. Purposes of processing

Primary purposes (necessary for the service)

  • Reply to your quote, call or video-call request.
  • Design, quote, contract and produce your wedding.
  • Coordinate venues, catering, imam, transport, lodging and partner vendors.
  • Issue invoices and meet tax and accounting obligations.
  • Stay in touch with you throughout the project.

Secondary purposes (opt-in)

  • Send marketing content, blog updates and news by email or WhatsApp.
  • Use photographs or testimonials on social media and website, only with your prior written consent.
  • Conduct post-event satisfaction surveys.

You may opt out of secondary purposes at any time without affecting the contracted service.

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on (i) the execution of the services contract you sign with us, (ii) compliance with tax obligations, (iii) your express consent for secondary purposes, and (iv) our legitimate interest in service improvement.

5. Sharing with third parties

Your data may be shared only with vendors strictly necessary for your wedding (venues, halal catering, transport, photographers, lodging, etc.) and always under a confidentiality agreement. We may also share data with authorities when legally required.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not hand it over to ad networks for commercial profiling.

6. Data retention

We retain data for as long as needed to fulfil the described purposes and, afterwards, for the periods required by Mexican tax and commercial legislation (generally five years). Marketing data is kept until you withdraw consent.

7. Your rights (ARCO)

Under the Mexican Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Cancel processing when you consider it is no longer required for a legitimate purpose.
  • Object to processing or revoke your consent at any time.
  • Limit the use or disclosure of your data.

To exercise these rights, email us at admin@islamicaqr.com stating your full name, the specific datum involved and a simple copy of your ID. We respond within twenty (20) business days.

8. Cookies & similar technologies

We use browser localStorage solely to keep your language preference and visual settings for this site. We do not use advertising tracking cookies or invasive third-party trackers. You can clear this storage from your browser settings at any time.

9. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. However, no internet system is absolutely tamper-proof; please avoid sending extremely sensitive information through unencrypted channels.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The current version will always be published on this page, with its last-updated date.
